The Scrap Up started as a creative practice and grew into a community.
Founded in 2023 by Raziya Tucker, it is built on one belief: your life is worth documenting and celebrating Not someday but now
Through scrapbooking, collaging, photography, and analog creativity, we create spaces where people slow down, reflect, and tell their own stories through art.
We show people that archiving does not require an institution.
It requires intention.
Meet Raziya
Raziya Tucker is a Newark-based creative, community builder, and the founder of The Scrap Up.
Her work is rooted in love for people, for places, and for the power of our shared stories. She believes that creativity opens the door to self-exploration and self-confidence, and she is passionate about giving as many people as possible the opportunity to fall in love with themselves through art andintentional memory keeping.
She has collaborated with several organizations including Newark Arts, NJ LEEP, North to Shore, Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District, Newark Arts & Education District and several others.
